Pictures of Hay Art

The south east part of Rhode Island is the home of sod farms, nice country drives and in the fall one of the farmers creates “Hay Art”.  While displaying your season’s harvest is a practice that’s  been around since man first harvested crops, this is the first time I’ve ever seen these types of creations.

Okay seriously….this is some of the most entertaining stuff I’ve seen in YEARS!! You’d think that SOMEONE over in my neck of the woods would have thought of dressing up hay bales…considering I live in a prairie province and that’s all we have here are farms.

    Fabulous!!!

Go door to door spreading the word to all of the farmers……I would love to see them chasing you away thinking you are nuts. Without showing them a picture it would be hard to explain “take a few of your round bales on hay and make them look like scarecrows and really large spiders……”. Without a doubt they will have you locked up in a hospital somewhere.

I would like to see more autumn pictures… But dude, ya gotta drive more north on 495, and dare even divert onto 95. Southern MA / RI foliage? (shakes head) We have mountains up here in NH!

(I broke out of central Mass 13 years ago) :)

    Nice shots all the same.
    Keep up the good work.

Lol, I grew up in Northern VT (Danville, next to St Johnsbury) so I am aware that is gets much better with a little drive. I was hoping to get up to VT or Northern Maine but [insert excuses].

I can’t wait until spring……..I can only get away with posting a limited amount of photos of ice and snow.
