Scotchies Jamaican Jerk Food
15 Sep 2008
When I got to Jamaica one of my goals was to try all of the “Jamaican food” that I could handle in a week. Most of the food that we ate grew on the farm where we stayed with the exception of some fish from the local fisherman’s beach. On one of our day trips we stopped a Scotchies in order to try their Jerk Chicken, Jerk Pork, Jerk Sausage and their famous Jamaican bread.
The food at Scotchies is sold as side orders so you can pick what is on your plate. They have plenty of open air dining in the shade where you can enjoy your meal.
The picture above shows what I order for lunch, almost everything on the menu! After feasting on the great food I left with a large dogie bag.

I Remember going there over the summer last year. The food was amazing and so were the prices on everything. I always speak highly of this place to my friends. If you go to Jamaica go here for a quick, fast, great lunch or dinner.

This looks like the one between St. Ann’s Bay and Ocho Rios? If so, this one interestingly sells far more pork than chicken and the one near Montego Bay sells just the opposite.

Correct on the location. I’ve been there twice now and both times the food has been excellent! I have some more pictures of Scotchies and their price list on http://www.jamaicatravelforum.com/forum/
