The following pictures of Jamaican flowers were taken in April of 2009 on the north shore of Jamaica. Walking around the hills of Jamaica with my eyes focused on the ground I was able to find some really small flowers along with the giant flowers that are hard to miss. Enjoy!

Stay tuned for part two of my 2009 collection of Jamaican flower pictures.

These are some photos of the Avon Walk For Breast Cancer in Boston MA on May 16th 2009. While the event was held in “Boston” these are pictures of the finish line that was actually in Canton MA. The big buildings that are in the background of some of the photos belong to Reebok (tennis shoes). The finish line area, sponsor tents, shower area and camping area for the walkers all fit on Reebok’s campus with plenty of room to spare!

The above picture is of the “finish line” even though most the family and supporters wait on the other side clapping as soon as the breast cancer walkers come into sight, if you stand there be prepared to clap non stop!

The above picture doesn’t do a great job capturing the excitement of the walkers finishing their day. It’s hard to capture all of the energy in the air with a few photos.

These large air filled tubes travel from city to city as the breast cancer walk moves across the country. Everyone is invited to sign their name on their city’s panel, I opted to leave the URL for one of my websites.

The two young women in the pink “Team Lulu” shirts are my aunts from Vermont. Like all of the other walkers they had to raise $1800 each for breast cancer research to walk in this event. I’m not sure what they had in their water but they were full of energy after walking for most of the day!

This is the start of “tent city” as the walkers arrive they have to find their camping spot, luggage and finally they have to set up their tent for the night.

This picture has nothing to do with the event, I just can’t resist a few shots of nice spring flowers in bloom.

While driving on Great Road in Lincoln Rhode Island I noticed a nice big pond that had a really wide water fall so I stopped for a few pictures. 80 pictures later I decided that I had taken all I could without getting out on the pond in my kayak– a chore for another day!
